1907 Thomas Flyer Makes History Again

The 1907 Thomas Flyer is making history again as it joins a permanent archive of significant historic automobiles within the Library of Congress. Mark Gessler, president and founder of the Historic Vehicle Association, and Jackie Frady, president and executive director of the Museum, unveil the Flyer's historic marker.

The Thomas Flyer will be the twelfth vehicle to be recorded under the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Heritage Documentation. The documentation is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Historic Vehicle Association and the U.S. Department of the Interior, Heritage Documentation Programs to document historically significant automobiles, trucks and motorcycles.
